::CHARACTER BIOGRAPHY::
Johnny Storm was born unto Mr. and Mrs. Devan Storm, the owners of a multi-billion dollar company composed of several small companies all controlled by a singular entity, The Storm Corporation. On the surface, the Storms were considered the highest form of blue blood society, with estates all over the world, the most expensive decor and fashion, along with many wonderful toys. Beneath that surface was a world of covert meetings, powerful political bribery and control that went far beyond the borders of the United States, along with top secret projects out of public view for their immoral status. Weapons Fabrication, Scientific Research, Unauthorized Genetic Testing, Cybernetics, and Super Natural Inquiries. On the surface they were in the spotlight, plunging into a mixture of pop-culture media and technological genius for use at home. Beneath it, the Storm’s were a cloak-and-dagger operation that spanned the brink of any comic fan’s wildest fantasy of government conspiracies and secret organizations.
At the age of 6, Johnny’s parents were departing for a vacation in Paris, when their private jet plummeted into the Atlantic Ocean before their arrival. With a positive ID on the passengers and crew, the news was released to the media that two of the world’s most extravagant tycoons were dead.
There were several legal ramifications that played into Johnny Storm’s young life, being the sole remaining heir to the family fortunes, despite having a baby sister. His father’s legal team, even with the objections of the board, made it very clear that his father’s wishes for his son were great. He would suffer no waiting period on his empire as in most cases. There would be no legal stipulations on age, or education. At the age of 6, quite literally, the world was laid out at Johnny’s feet.
The aforementioned sister wasn’t left without her own stipend. A separate account was set aside for her, but her mother’s wishes were that she be allowed to live as normal a life as possible, knowing the many hardships that her older brother would face. The will stated that Joanie would be sent to a boarding school in Paris, France, where she would live out the remainder of her years under the tutelage of one of her closest friends, the Headmistress Angela Darboux.
When, and only when, Joanie turned 18, would she be allowed access to her account, which rested at around 18 million dollars. The four year old wasn’t sure what was happening when she was whisked out of her family home, and away from her brother, who for the most part, was glad to see her go. His coldness towards his sister at such a young age may have been a portent to the villain he would one day become.
His first order of business was to name a competent CEO for his family’s heritage in the form of longtime friend, lawyer, and business consultant, John Landau. With Landau firmly in the driver’s seat of his financial kingdom, Johnny fast tracked his education, graduating from High School at the age of 15, and then attending Harvard University, and graduating in business science at the age of 18.
After his education was taken care of, Johnny decided to travel abroad, moving to his various estates across Europe and Asia, finally coming to rest in Japan for a while to further his study of martial arts. Here he learned to speak fluent Japanese, honed in on his martial art disciplines, and met an enthusiastic character by the name of Crazy Jay.
Jay was a professional wrestler who was on tour in Japan, on loan from his home federation in the states, the Total Carnage Wrestling Federation(TCWF). Their friendship started out as sparring partners at a local dojo in Tokyo, from there they helped each other with the culture and language of the land, and finally, after much deliberation, Jay convinced Johnny to try his hand at wrestling for money. They trained in the dojo after hours, taking their training to the arenas by night. Storm learned the more brutal nature of Japanese style Wrestling, the blood lust, and the respect it granted him. After Jay received word that he would be returning to TCWF back in the states, Storm decided that he would follow, returning to his family’s primary estate in Charlotte, NC.
After several matches in the indy circuit, at the age of 22, Storm received the call to debut in TCWF. He came to grow into himself in this small company, finding that there was something much more inside than the privileges of his inheritance. Before the eyes of the Southern Circuits and TCWF fans, Johnny Storm transformed into “Mr. Fantastic”, a wicked genius who brought about havoc the likes that no one had ever seen before. He went on to claim the glory of championship victories, and the gold embedded itself in his blood. He knew that he couldn’t stay here. He had out-grown the small time, and it was time for him to enter the world stage.
His decisions were much the talk of the media, the playboy billionaire turned professional wrestler. He was slandered, taunted, and jibed by everyone, including some of the members of his own company’s board of directors. None of it dissuaded his decision to move forward in his new career, that was slowly becoming an addiction. As Johnny Storm the billionaire, he was feared by everyone around him for the sheer amount of pull that his company had, and the amount of money at his disposal. As “Mr. Fantastic”, he found that he was respected. He couldn’t buy this…he would have to earn it.
He turned his sights on the second incarnation of the Survival Wrestling Association, known for their brutal matches, and colorful characters. He went on to do very well here, making enemies out of everyone with the exception of Griff Truxell & Steven Fury. The time spent in SWA was a calling card, a way for him to further evolve his persona. Along with brutality, cruelty, and innovative torture, he learned arrogance, over-confidence, and a rebellious nature.
The SWA’s charm began to fade over time, and Storm decided to abandon ship before it could sink. He wasn’t out of work long before Steven Fury gave the call that there was a new multi-million dollar organization about to launch a program. The Gladiator Wrestling Association. The pitch intrigued him, and after a brief contract dispute, Storm became a gladiator. Storm immediately set out to one-up himself, and instead of trying to earn his spot, set his target directly on the top brass of the company. His feuds were numerous, and the rogues gallery long. (Chris Damm, Reina Saiaki, Mei Himagaji, Anton Rayge, Ryo Mitsurugi, Joey Jackson, Jimmy Jackson, Lost Worlds, Dark Tyger, Jade, Marcus Gaines, Goliath, The Chosen.) He worked his way through the titles as well, taking the Olympic, Maximus, Legion Tag, and finally the Gladiator, becoming the first ever GWA Grand Slam Champion. He was the longest reigning Gladiator Champion, the last Gladiator Champion, and was undefeated from March of 2001 to March of 2002.
It was also in the GWA that he met Scarlett Rayne, and learned more then he ever wanted about his families heritage. She came to the GWA as an operative for a secret organization known as The Legacy, a supernatural coven created to help prevent the apocalypse. Her orders were to compete as an active wrestler, travel their show dates, and get close to Johnny Storm in order to watch them. Storm was captivated with her from the beginning, and they became a tag team in the ring, and lovers outside of it.
Scarlett felt the guilt of her secret mission encroaching on her personal life, and finally decided to come clean. She told him everything, and his part in it. That he was being pursued by an evil occult known as the Left Hand who believed that by bringing about the apocalypse they were doing the work of God. He was apart of an ancient prophecy that stated that when a male and female descendant of Christ’s bloodline joined together in copulation, they would give birth to a portal that would bring about the Mark of the Beast. That Johnny Storm was one of those descendants, and that The Left Hand had the other piece of the puzzle. His sister.
After processing all of the information, Storm finally decided that he would join the Legacy in their pursuits to stop the Apocalypse, while continuing to appear to lead a normal life as GWA’s “Mr. Fantastic”. After several struggles between the Legacy and The Left Hand, everything climaxed at his families home in Charlotte, where Johnny was forced to make a choice. The end of the world as we know it, or a self-sacrifice. Deciding that he never was given the chance to play the hero on TV, he would enjoy knowing what it felt like in his personal life. So on the rooftops of his estate, he shot himself in the head.
He was revived a short time later in his bed, the threat having been lifted. He claimed that he had went to the foot of the throne, and was given back his life without the threat of prophecy due to his selfless sacrifice. The world would be given another chance to make everything right.
Johnny decided to take some time off from GWA, which led to him forfeiting the title, and eventually to him leaving the company. After repairing his tentative relationship with his sister, and trying to make amends with The BombTrax, he turned his sights back on the wrestling world. He was offered several positions from other feds, but his desire was to come back and cause turmoil. Enough with self sacrifice, and out of body experiences. It was time for “Mr. Fantastic” to return to the drivers seat.
So he did the one thing that he knew no one would be expecting. He joined the GWA’s top rival, Fans Wrestling Federation, as the 51% owner of the company. Here he made both friend and foe, teaming up with the likes of Ranma Saotome, and feuding with the FWF’s golden boy, MISSLE. Several back stage political maneuvers occurred to try and unrest Storm’s controlling stock over the FWF, and eventually he grew tired of the corporate warring. He no longer wanted to rule the FWF, he wanted to see it burn. He left the FWF as a double Champion(Tag Team Champ, Big Mouth Champ), and undefeated.
Taking his 51% of FWF, he merged it into a new affiliate he had managed to acquire, his former home, the GWA. The GWA invaded the FWF with Storm at the helm, as FWF wrestlers also surged into GWA. The unbalancing power became a stressful time for Johnny, and when he finally decided to return to active status, he had changed.
His return to the land of the living had taken more of a toll on him than he had believed. His shattered psyche turned to a baptism of fire, causing him to go on a crusade with FWF as his prize. He became “The Christ of Wrestling”, setting out to save everyone from the evil blight that he believed the FWF to be. While GWA continued to thrive, while FWF continued to be undone, Johnny Storm’s mind was splintering, and he was becoming more and more dangerous to everyone around him.
Over time Johnny began to return to his senses, his flair for the dynamic and dramatic finally sated through a long overture of pain, and misery. But the world around him had definitively changed. Scarlett couldn’t take his split personality anymore, and finally decided that it was time to leave him. The GWA’s stocks were plummeting in his war with FWF, although he was leaving them at a loss.
The Federation War finally came to an end in one match. The GWA Invasion Force v.s. the FWF Patriots. One of the GWA’s original ring leaders turned on them at the last minute, and just like that, the FWF won the match, and their company back.
Soon after this, Storm’s friend, and FWF legend, Ranma Saotome was found murdered. A new man arrived from the ashes, calling himself Jalen Fervi. Donning a luchadore mask, Jalen went on to become FWF World Heavyweight Champion, and the winner of the When Worlds Collide Tournament. Storm appeared to follow the path of the masked wrestler closely as he returned to GWA, and ran the company and played the part of active wrestler.
Much to the surprise of many, despite all of Johnny Storm’s effort, it was an implosion from the inside that crippled, and ended the FWF. With it’s demise, the GWA found an influx of talent from the fall out. One of those wrestlers, was Jalen Fervi. Turmoil was high, and great feuds broke out immediately, generating a lot of heat for the company. At that time, the sightings began. Random encounters with FWF & GWA wrestles alike who claimed to have seen Ranma Saotome alive and well.
The fever pitch to find out who was responsible for these sightings grew to revolve around the mysterious Jalen Fervi. The long standing belief was that Ranma faked his own death, and that in fact, he was Jalen Fervi. As the time drew near for a confession of some sort, Ranma Saotome appeared on GWA TV, standing right in the center of the ring. He set out to explain his master plan, that he did indeed almost died that night, but someone saved him. Someone had nursed him back to health. That someone had went on to fulfill a master plan that Ranma had set into motion long ago in the event that anything ever happened to him. That man was Jalen Fervi.
Fervi joined Ranma in the ring, as Ranma expressed his thanks, and informed him that the time for charades was over. It was time for him to unmask, and reveal the master plan. When the mask came off, there beside Ranma stood no other than Johnny Storm. This news shocked the wrestling world, proving that Johnny Storm was the former FWF Champion, and it was Johnny Storm who won the When Worlds Collide Championship.
From there Ranma rose to become Gladiator Champion, as Storm governed from the drivers seat. The GWA continued to run, but as the lack of competition that the FWF provided began to be felt, so did the box offices. The stock began to plummet as a result, and before long, GWA also found itself in a shallow grave.
For several months after the GWA’s close, Storm remained idle, returning to his company to take over as CEO, and learn the secrets of his father’s work. He found many disturbing things within the hidden files, several illegal projects that were closely connected to the White House and other various world leaders. Eventually he stumbled upon a file that his access codes(which were the highest level) couldn’t access. Growing curious, he paid to have the information hacked, and instead found that it wasn’t a file, but a location for one. One that wasn’t documented in the central computer, but in the hard copies beneath the Storm Corporation’s Central Building in Charlotte.
At around this same time, Storm received word from his friend Ranma Saotome that there was some interest in a fledgling federation by the name of SWF. Storm decided to return to the ring, but also to maintain his search for the hidden file. Flanked by his friend Ranma, and by his long time associate/body guard/Stalker, Jakob Grimes, Storm made his entrance into the SWF. There he became two time Tag Champions with Ranma, and later on they would break their union, and begin a feud that would never properly be finished.
Johnny would also meet back up with a former foe of his, Stephanie Conner, who would try and seduce him into the entertainment powerhouse known as The Circle. Circle Television
Network was willing to pay a handsome amount for his membership, with benefits in the wrestling world that money simply couldn’t buy. This wasn’t the first time that the Circle had tried to get Johnny to join them, and the first attempt ended poorly for them. Stephanie, however, after spending time with her new prospect, realized that there was more to him than what she had always assumed. Johnny also took notice of Stephanie’s efforts, and eventually gave in, joining her in The Circle. The two started dating, and got engaged in 2007.
Outside of the wrestling world Storm hired a mercenary to break into the Storm Corporation Building in Charlotte, and steel the hidden file. Upon the successful retrieval, he learned about a secret cloning project taking place outside of Austin, Texas. Before authorities could catch him with the stolen files, he set off for Texas with Jakob to hopefully learn more. Once there, he received a phone call from John Landau, which proved to be a discussion he wished he hadn’t had. Landau informed him that the files he had stolen were hidden from him for a reason, and it was understood in the stipulations for his inheritance that he had signed as a 6 year old, that he was never to search for the secret base in Texas. Because he had went beyond the parameters of the original inheritance documents, he was now considered a rogue by the company, and emergency CEO powers were now extended to him. He was authorized by Devan Storm himself to execute his own son.
The news was disturbing, but it was more curious to Johnny than anything. He had to find out what was going on in Texas. So Jakob and he followed the map out to the disclosed location, and encountered a war zone. Storm Corporation Special Forces Unit were on the scene, assaulting the complex. Jakob & Storm snaked their way through the fighting, and snuck into the complex. They encountered a sophisticated computer security system that provided a holographic image that mimicked Johnny’s mother. The hologram led them through the complex, and herded them into one of the many labs. The lab was a huge warehouse that contained 100’s of egg shaped deprivation tanks that appeared to have humans floating inside of them. It was also the place where Johnny Storm got the chance to meet Johnny Storm.
The clone explained how he had been cloned when the real Johnny was just a baby, as a contingency plan for if this ever happened. Devan wanted his son to be strong, but not reckless. Someone who could be trusted to keep the secret things secret. So the clone would now kill Johnny, take up his place in society, without all of the distractions of relationships and idiotic hobbies like wrestling.
Shots were fired, and Jakob took a bullet to protect Johnny. In the end the clone was killed by Jakob, but not before one of the bullets ruptured one of the tanks. When the tank burst open, a familiar body fell out onto the floor. Jakob Grimes. The tanks were a part of a super soldier program that had been scrapped long ago, and the clones were being held in stasis in their tanks. The real Jakob was the first experiment, the base copy, and it explained his imprint on Johnny Storm, not to mention his incredible speed & strength. It also explained his sometimes violent mood swings, and splintered psyche.
Before escaping the complex, Storm set a bomb to go off to destroy the evidence that there ever was a lab in Austin. He also obtained all the computer files, including the sophisticated security holo-program that is now his Estates Personal CPU. Jakob & Johnny escaped back to Charlotte, but soon after Jakob made a break for it during a psychotic episode, and Storm was forced to quit his wrestling career so he could focus on all of this new information.
Johnny Storm eventually caught up with Jakob nearly a year later, and was able to bring him back into the fold. In 2008, after nearly four years out of the business, a long engagement to Stephanie Connor, and his friend, Jakob, cleared of any legal trouble, Johnny decided to make an attempt to return to the squared circle in SIN Wrestling.
Having already done everything a person could possibly do in the industry, Storm decided rather than focus on titles, he would pursue the members of SIN’s Hall of Fame, challenging and defeating greats such as Tony F’n Mellnia, Decklin Turner, and others. Little could he have known that after only three short months back in active competition that the company would soon fold due to financial trouble.
He made the decision to completely let go of the wrestling business to pursue a family, and continue his enterprise as the CEO of the Storm Corporation. Stephanie Connor and he were married on June 22nd, 2009, in a grand summer wedding at the Storm Estate. The affair was a who’s who of celebrity and the world elite, and the reception made it into Better Homes & Garden and Vanity Fair.
Now, Johnny enjoys his life as a corporate shark and family man, with Jakob at his side as his Chief Security Officer, and his wife, Stephanie, who reprised her role at the famed Circle Television Network in order to work closely with her daughter, Trisha VanReardon. The two couldn’t be happier in their decisions, and even Grimes, who will always suffer from Shaddix Syndrome, appears to be stable.
However, the wrestling business is a fickle thing. The trends are never certain. They say once it’s in your blood, there’s no getting rid of it completely, thus the elderly veterans of the ring who continue to litter the independent circuit. Could Johnny Storm appear in a ring once more? Only time can tell.
::ENTRANCE::
Entrance Music: "War Machine" by KISS
Entrance Description:
The lights dim low, and suddenly the Carey-Tron & PA System come alive with the familiar guitar intro of "War Machine" by KISS. The drum beats begin, and the Carey-Tron flashes these words across the screan...
THE GWA IS DEAD....
Then, finally the lyrics begin to fade in, as the fans watch on in an awe filled silence. The words displayed on the Carey-Tron slowly fade, being Replaced.
BUT THE GLADIATOR'S AREN'T!!!
The fans go into a frenzy of mixed boo's & cheers as the blue strobe lights that they have become so familiar with over the years begin flashing all over the arena, and suddenly they come together to form one solid beam to fall upon the enterance way. Steam rises through the steel grating, and the silhoute of Stephanie Connor can be seen standing in the curtain area. The sound is deafening, but somehow even more so as Johnny Storm steps through the mist and out onto the Steel Rampway.
"Mr. Fantastic"
Johnny Storm
The lights come back to full, as Storm allows a shit eating grin to the fans which sends them further into a frenzy. His mood becomes serious however, along with the music that pumps the arena. He slowly makes his way towards the ring, keeping his eyes locked within the square battle ground untill coming to it's side. Stephanie follows close behind, carrying the dragon-headed ebony cane that the fans had learned to be wary of. Storm hops up on the ring apron, then steps through the middle & top rope to enter. He steps to the center of the ring, and looks out amongst the fans again..nodding as they continue their chants. He unrobes quickly causing even more ovation, as he then rushes to a corner..stepping up to the second, and throwing his hands over his head in a premature victory signal. Stephanie circles the ring with a smirk, and takes it all in. The fans react wildly, as Storm hops back down...and then leans against the turnbuckle to await his opponent.
