RHONDA ARMSTRONG: This match is a PAW Tag Team Championship Qualifier Match, and is scheduled for one fall or submission. Introducing first, already in the ring, weighting in at a combined weight of 560 pounds.... 'The High Flyer' Flaming Youth and The PAW Heavyweight Champion, PRESS...THEY ARE THE BOMBTRAX!!!
The two men step into their corner as 'The Party Boy' Theme from Jackass starts up throughout the arena, and Johnny Sykes pushes through the curtain at the top of the stage wearing a confident grin on his face. He reaches behind him and pulls out his trusty shopping cart, but suddenly Ava appears beside him, grabbing the cart and shaking her head 'no'. Johnny argues with her for a minute, but she points to the ring where The BombTrax patiently wait with a bit of trepidation on her face. She pleads with Johnny for a minute longer, until finally he shoves the cart back through the curtain in disappointment. Ava starts tentatively down the ramp, slapping the hands of fans as she goes by without taking her eyes off the two in the ring. Johnny walks beside her dumbly, waving out to the crowd, and grinning like a man without a care in the world.
RHONDA ARMSTRONG: Introducing their opponents, weighting in at a combined weight of 316 pounds.....They are 'The Original Pranksta' and 'Da Bomb Dot Com'....AVA & JOHNNY SYKES!!
When they reach ringside, Ava climbs the steps up onto the Apron, while Johnny hops up on the side of the ring, and then springboards himself inside with a front flip. He lands in a roll, popping back up to his feet with his hands over his head while Press stares holes into him, and Youth comically jests with the crowd around ringside near their corner. Ava finally slips into the ring through the middle and bottom rope, and grabs Johnny by the arm, pulling him back into their corner.
PERCY: Ava is showing a lot more concerned than her partner is, and I'm not sure whether that's confidence or stupidity on his part.
CAT: Where Johnny Sykes is concerned, it's always stupidity.
PERCY: Either way you look at it, the young woman has reason to be worried considering the hurt they just put on Mercy & Sin moments ago, and the fact that Press alone out weights their whole team!
CAT: Yeah, well the fans seem a little confused as to who to cheer for, considering both are pretty big fan favorites for way different reasons.
PERCY: I agree, Cat, but A-Ref just rang the bell, and it looks like Press and Johnny Sykes are going to start this off...
Johnny Sykes shuffles around the ring with his dukes up, playing at being a boxer with a grin on his face. Some of the crowd laugh, getting into the playful banter of the smaller man, while Press stares at him from across the ring with smoldering embers. Finally Press stalks forwards, making to lock up with Sykes, but 'The Original Pranksta' slips under the big mans grasp to end up behind him, and when Press turns around, he's caught with three stiff left jabs.
PERCY: Press just stepped back in surprise after those punches, and he's checking his nose for blood. OH, Here he comes! He thunders in for another lock up, but again, Sykes ends up behind him, and catches him with three more jabs!
CAT: If that fool can keep on the move like that, he might be able to wear the big bastard down.
Press chuckles, staring down at the canvas while wiping at his stinging mouth. When he looks up, he approaches Sykes in a much more methodical manner, and when Johnny darts right, Press steps right. When he goes left, he goes left. Finally, Johnny finds himself in a neutral corner, and he makes a quick dash right, then a fake out to the left, but unfortunately for him, Press is there to catch him. With a heave of what almost seems like unnatural strength, Sykes is lifted right off the ground with one hand and slammed back first into the corner. The sudden impact obviously knocks the wind out of him, but the two left jabs, and the right cross that follows wipes the grin off of his face. Literally.
PERCY: God Almighty, what do you do with a guy like that?
CAT: I wonder if Calvin Harris is somewhere taking notes?
Press grabs Sykes by the wrist and whips him hard to the opposite side. When Sykes strikes the turnbuckle the force causes him to stumble out of the corner, and Press meets him halfway with a stiff clothesline that sends him to the mat. The fans give up a mixture of cheers and boo's as Press jerks Sykes up to his feet by a fistful of hair, and then pulls him over to his corner where Youth has boot draped across the top turnbuckle. The big man brings Sykes head first down onto the appendage, and then makes a tag to his partner, who zips into the ring. With press now on the outside, Youth pulls Sykes out away from the turnbuckle, and then scoop slams him in the center of the ring.
PERCY: Youth has Sykes where he wants him, and now falls back into the ropes for spring, coming back now...leaps over Sykes, SPRINGBOARD MOONSAULT DOWN ACROSS THE PRANKSTA!
CAT: Early cover, but looking good....
1...
2...
PERCY: KICK OUT! Sykes out at two, and Youth jerks him up to his feet, delivering a few right hands to drive him into the corner. Youth now standing on the other side of him, and straight kicks straight into the mans solar plexus, followed by a Round House Kick To The Face!
CAT: You know, I want to hate him, but it's hard when he makes that shit look so effortless. Nah....THAT'S the reason I hate him!
Youth steps away from the corner and Johnny Sykes stumbles out, taking a swing at the air before falling flat on his face. Youth steps over to his opponents corner, and leans against the top rope with a smile and a bit of conversation with Ava. 'Da Bomb Dot Com' tries to pay him no attention as she calls for Johnny to get up and make a tag. Youth looks out at the crowd, and shrugs while they laugh and cat call him. He turns his attention back to Johnny Sykes who's crawled halfway to his corner, and drops a knee straight down across the back of his head. He hops up quickly, grabs Sykes by the leg, and drags him towards his corner before making the tag.
PERCY: The BombTrax seem very confident here, and with good reason, but I still don't think I'd take this team lightly. The last time someone did that, they pulled off an upset.
CAT: Yeah, but these guys have been doing this a lot longer than Ava & Sykes have. Fifteen years, if memory serves.
Press comes in over the top rope while Youth holds Sykes arm up above his head, and the big man drives home a savage right hand to Johnny's ribs. The Pranksta holds his left side as he tries to shake off the pain, but Press spins him back around, and lays in a chop that levels him where he stands. The painful sound echoes throughout the arena, and the fans all 'Woooooo' in unison. Press smirks as he falls back into the ropes for some spring, and comes back with a leap into the air, dropping his massive leg down across Sykes' throat.
PERCY: Jesus, when a 365 pound man drops a leg drop it looks like a freakin' finisher!
CAT: It might just be, he's going for the cover.
1...
2...
PERCY: Thre-KICK OUT! Johnny Sykes gets the shoulder up, but he is not doing well. He needs to make a tag.
CAT: Yeah, to the 120 pound girl on the ring apron. Hey, listen, Ava is a tough cookie, there's no doubt, but what the hell is she going to do with a goon like that?
Percy shrugs as Press gets to his feet, and tags in Youth. The Innovative Aviator hops to the top turnbuckle, and as Johnny Sykes gets to his feet, leaps off with a beautiful missile drop kick that sends the man crashing back to the canvas. Youth scrambles for a cover.
1...
2...
This time Ava is in the ring to shove Youth off her partner, and she's back out on the apron just as quickly. Youth looks over at the corner and grins, yanking Sykes up to his feet, and hooking him around the head for a suplex. He goes to take him over but Sykes manages to block by putting his foot between Youth's legs. Youth tries again, but another block. Suddenly, Johnny Sykes gives a yell, and in a gust of strength he takes Youth over with a suplex instead.
PERCY: Sykes just got that moment he needed, but does he have enough left to get the tag?
CAT: I don't know, Percy. I think that was instinct.
Youth slowly gets up to his feet, taking his time, while Johnny struggles with the ropes to even make it vertical. The High Flyer looks over, and sees The Pranksta having trouble, and takes off in his direction before he can get his barrings. Just as he's about to go for a clothesline, Sykes ducks low, sending Youth up and over the top rope with a high back body drop. Immediately after he falls forwards towards his corner, and makes the tag to Ava, just as Youth lands with a smack on the concrete floor.
PERCY: Oh, Damn! Youth just took a tremendous bump off the concrete, and Ava is scaling up to the top of her corner......OH MY GOD! SHOOTING AVA PRESS OFF THE TOP DOWN ONTO YOUTH!!
CAT: What the fuck!?!
The fans go absolutely nuts as Ava lays beside Youth holding her gut, while he tries to decide which hurts more now, his rib cage or his spine. A 'Holy Shit' chant is taken up by those in the front row, which inspires Ava to make it to her feet. She helps Youth up, and tosses him head first into the ring. He rolls further in, and she hops up onto the ring apron, grabbing the top rope and spring boarding in with a rolling senton. She pops up to her feet facing the opposite direction from her downed opponent, and with a small dip forward, she springs backwards into a standing moonsault, landing squarely once again across the mans sternum and chest. She excitedly hooks the leg.
1...
2...
PERCY: THRE-KICK OUT! Man, Youth barely got the shoulder up. I think Ava has rocked his world, and not in the way that he was eluding to earlier.
CAT: She's a regular spitfire, that one.
Ava hops up and makes a quick tag to Sykes, who's back up and raring to go. Sykes gives some direction, and Ava takes off to the far ropes, and comes barreling back at the man like a rocket. When she reaches him, he whips her up in a tilt-a-whirl that ends with her hanging over Youth's body as Johnny drops straight down, using Ava essentially to crush him. Ava quickly slips under the bottom rope, and Sykes lays back over Youth, hooking his leg for a cover.
1...
2...
PERCY: Youth just locked his legs around Sykes arm, and hooked him by the other, and rolled him forwards into a pin! 1...2...NO! Johnny kicks out, and is already back to his feet, reigning down stomps to the side of Youth's head.
CAT: Looks like Sykes might have some payback on his mind, but he better not forget that gorilla over in Youth's corner.
Sykes jerks Youth up off the mat, and takes him by the wrist to send him to the other side. Youth rebounds, and Johnny comes rushing in to meet him, catching him right in the face with a tornado kick. Youth hits the mat, and Johnny doesn't slow, heading to the apron of the neutral corner, and climbing up to the top. Once there he does a pose for the crowd, and then takes flight with an epic Frog Splash down across Youth's midsection. Johnny Rolls up, holding his midsection, but then scoots back to Youth to make the cover.
1...
2...
PERCY: THRE-NO! Good lord, Youth might be known as 'The High Flyer', but Ava and Sykes are showing him that he might have competition for that moniker.
CAT: I'm telling you, Percy, all these fancy High Risks are going to end up backfiring, and when it does, that monster on the apron is going to end up doing what he does, and what he does isn't nice!
Johnny hops up and tags in Ava, who slips into the ring, and rushes to the center of the ring to drop an elbow down into Youth's lower back. Youth arches his back in pain, and Ava is back up as quick as a hiccup, grabbing him by his ankles and by the chin, dropping her knee's into his lower back, and then rocking back to pull him into a Bow and Arrow.
PERCY: CODE OF KONAMI ON YOUTH! How in the world is Ava finding the strength to keep him across knee's like that? He out weights her by 80 pounds!
CAT: Very carefully, Percy. Very carefully.
Youth calls out in pain as his back is compressed, while his injured ribs are being stretched, and his hand hovers over Ava's thigh precariously in the tap position. Press screams at Youth to push through it, and the high flier begins to pump that same hand into the air as a fist. He begins to rock with the fist pump, and eventually his struggling becomes too much for Ava to hold onto, and she's forced to let him loose. When he slips out, he comes forwards onto his feet, springing up, and firing towards the ropes. Ava rises just in time to see him on his way back with a lariat, and ducks the maneuver before it can land. He continues through and hits the ropes on the other side, thundering back, and that's when Ava moves into position to catch him with a boot to the midsection. Youth manages to put on the brakes, catches her foot, and then brings one foot over the leg, while simultaneously bringing the other up to catch her right in the jaw with a roundhouse kick. Both of them lay there, tired and stunned, as the fans get on their feet cheering for more. A-Ref looks down at both competitors, and starts his count.
PERCY: Youth managed to get things back on his side, but he's taken a pretty good beating at the hands of Sykes and Ava. Funny how things can turn around so completely considering the way The BombTrax started this match.
CAT: That just goes to show you that anything can happen here in the PAW Universe. Sometimes shit gets real, and sometimes shit is just....well, shit.
PERCY: Sound logic, Cat, while A-Ref has reached the five count, and now both Ava and Youth are stirring. They're climbing towards their respective partners, and now it's a race to see who gets there first....and listen to this crowd.
CROWD: AVA - SYKES! LETS GO TRAX! AVA - SYKES! LETS GO TRAX!
The crowd is on their feet as Ava slaps Johnny's hand, and Sykes jumps clear over the top rope to land inside the ring. He rushes at Youth who has his hand ever so close to the big man's. Sykes steps right up on Youth's shoulders, driving his hand down to tag in Press, but Johnny uses his momentum to springboard right at the big man. He catches him with a stiff European upper cut as he throws his leg over the ropes, and then continues hammering away on him from there. Press uses his bulk to force himself into the ring, but the shots for Sykes are obviously taking their toll as he falls back into his corner, and tries to cover up. Sykes switches from punching, to kicking, as he sends in punt kick after punt kick into the big mans midsection. Finally, Press just reaches out and shoves Sykes back, and steps out of the corner after him with a swing of his own. Sykes ducks it, however, and when Press turns around he's caught with rapid fire punches that leave him reeling. The fans can't believe it as Sykes abandons the punches to fall back into the ropes, and leaps into the big man with double knee's to the chest. Press still doesn't go down, but it drives him back into the ropes behind him, and they spring him forwards only for him to throw his boot out and catch Johnny Sykes right in the face.
PERCY: SUDDEN STOP!! Johnny Sykes just cut a somersault after that gigantic kick to the head! And Press doesn't look finished! He just ripped his shirt off like a hulk, and he's got Sykes up between his legs....HEY! WAIT A MINUTE! WHAT THE HELL IS THIS!
CAT: Looks like business just picked up!
The fans let out a torrid of boo's for Calvin Harris, Cross Recoba, and Jack Nomad as they saunter out onto the stage at the top of the ramp. Youth slides back into the ring and points the trio out to Press, and the camera picks up a "I'll be God Damned!" before he throws Sykes back down to the mat, abandoning what was surely going to be a Press Release Powerbomb. The BombTrax don't even think about it as they slips through the ropes down to the floor, and begin to stalk up the ramp towards the three men. Calvin gives Press a smirk before shrugging, and the three men rush down to meet The BombTrax head on. The fans damn near take the roof of the arena as World War 3 begins on the ramp.
PERCY: THE BOMBTRAX AND THE POWER TRIO ARE BEATING THE HELL OUT OF EACH OTHER, BUT WE HAVE A MATCH GOING ON! A-Ref is counting The BombTrax out! This is such bullshit!
CAT: HEY! They could have finished this match, and then got into it with the boys, but Nooooo. Not that oaf Press. All he cares about is his Championship, and I wonder when Youth is going to figure that out?
PERCY: Are you kidding me, Cat? These three bozos didn't come out here to watch the finish of the match. You saw what they did to Press at the end of last show! The BombTrax are fighting for their lives!
A-Ref reaches ten and calls for the bell as Ava tends to Johnny Sykes who is still stunned after getting hit with The Sudden Stop. Meanwhile, on the ramp, the numbers game has finally caught up to The BombTrax, as Cross Recoba and Calvin Harris double team Press, while Jack Nomad keeps Youth occupied, overpowering the smaller man with vicious right hands. Suddenly a plume of smoke explodes at the top of the stage, and when it dissipates The Shadow is standing in it's center, fighting batons in either hand. The fans cheer as Jack Nomad see's the man, and with a roar abandons Youth to move into strike this new combatant. The Shadow meets him half way, swinging his batons. Jack blocks the first, but the second finds it's mark in his midsection. Jack takes the hit with a painful grunt, and then his hand shoots out as quick as a viper, surprising The Shadow by snatching him up by the throat. Youth, now free of Nomad, turns his attention to Recoba, yanking him back off of Press, and nailing the man with right hands while Calvin and Press continue to scrap out in the aisle way.
PERCY: WE AREN'T EVEN GOING TO MAKE IT TO BAD MOON RISING! THEY ARE GOING TO KILL EACH OTHER RIGHT HERE AND NOW!
CAT: And just think about it, Percy! This is just the start of the show!
PERCY: Wait...there's 4 Loco, and he's brought an army of security! Thank, God!
Security swarms the six men on the ramp, but they continue to take swings and kicks where their able. Eventually security manages to corral Calvin Harris, Cross Recoba, and Jack Nomad, creating a perimeter around the men, keeping them inside and the other three out. When two of security move in to take hold of The Shadow, he reaches to his belt and with a flick of his wrist another smoke cloud appears. When the grey matter wisps away, he's gone. Security move the Trio back towards the stage, as Press and Youth stand on the ramp, hands on their hips, the champion looking angrier and angrier. Suddenly, a sound calls out from ringside that bring everyone's attention back to the ring.
RHONDA ARMSTRONG: Your winner of the match by count out, and advancing to the PAW Tag Team Championship match, AVA & JOHNNY SYKES!
Calvin Harris and Cross Recoba begin to chuckle, while Jack Nomad still seems preoccupied with keeping a look out for the shadow. The BombTrax's heads snap around to stare into the ring, where Ava has Johnny Sykes on his feet. Ava stares at the two on the ramp, who turn their attention from the Trio, and start making their way back to the ring.
PERCY: Oh no....
CAT: You better get that dummy out of the ring, Ava! Those guys aren't known for their good intentions!
Youth slides under the bottom rope, while Press hops up on the ring apron and swings one boot over the top followed by the other. Once in the ring they stand staring at the team of Ava and Sykes, who shake their heads 'no', trying to explain they didn't have anything to do with the attack. Press rocks his head back and forth to the side to get out the kinks, and steps forward, causing Ava & Sykes to step back. He smirks, right before reaching out and tosseling both of the superstars on the hair. The fans laugh and cheer, as Press the camera gets close enough to hear Press tell them, "Give those other bastards hell for the Tag Championships." Youth brings his hand up to his ear like a telephone, and winks at Ava, before The BombTrax exit the ring, leaving Ava & Sykes to enjoy their advancement.
CAT: I can't believe it! They just gave those two a pass! WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON AROUND HERE?
PERCY: Maybe The BombTrax realize that they have more on their plate right now than they can deal with, and wanted to give Ava & Sykes their seal of approval for pursuing the PAW Tag Championships. Either way, this thing between them and the Trio is boiling over. Can you imagine what it's going to be like at Bad Moon Rising?
CAT: Man, I can't wait...but we still got a lot of action to cover right here tonight! But first, let's hear a few words from our sponsors.
