Ji moves through the backstage area like a man on a mission, stopping just long enough to look down at his phone to check for any call backs or messages. Not seeing any, he huffs in worry and irritation, and starts power walking once again when he walks head long into a brick wall. Well, it might as well have been, as he looks up to see Press, already dressed for the Main Event, staring down at him. The big man raises an eyebrow at the jittery expression on the metro's face, and he swings the championship up onto his shoulder while crossing his arms over his chest.
PRESS: What's got you so rattled?
Ji, thinking he may have finally found an ally, launches into his tale.
JI: Where do I even begin! Lady Munin's gone missing, and I haven't seen her since just after the first match. Then I ran into the Enhancement Talent, and sent them searching for her, but no one's bothered to message me back. Fat lot of good that did me. Those idiots are probably getting high in the basement, or God...no...they wouldn't. Not her office again. And..and..and..
Press places a calming hand on Ji's shoulder. That, or he was bringing the man back to reality through a sharp jolt of pain. Either way, Ji seems to calm down and stops sounding like a broken record long enough for Press to speak.
PRESS: The Lady can take care of herself, Ji. She probably just stepped outside of all of this so that she can focus on what needs to happen next. We got to television two weeks from tonight, and there's a lot on her plate. Just relax, and give her a call, text her, or something.
JI: You don't understand! That's what I've been doing, and I've gotten nothing. She's never done anything like this before.
Press' eyebrows arched once again, and he considered the assistants words. Just then, a ring tech passed by, and pointed down at his watch as he did, and Press snapped out of his thoughts.
PRESS: Listen, Ji. I'm sure she's fine. I've got to go out here and do my thing, but if she's not around by the time I get back, I'll help you look for her. Deal? Good.
Without giving Ji a chance to say anything, Press turns and starts down the hallway in the direction the technician was going. The assistant shakes his head in dismay, shoulders drooping comically low, as he turns and makes his way back towards the Lady's office.
